Skin Peel

Medical grade chemical peels designed to support skin clarity, texture, and overall skin health.

At R Cosmetics, chemical peels are not selected from a menu. Each treatment is individually tailored by a qualified cosmetic nurse following a thorough skin assessment. Your peel is chosen based on your skin type, concerns such as pigmentation, sensitivity, or uneven texture, and your overall skin health to ensure a safe and considered approach.

A curated range of professional chemical peels is offered, including:

Gentle Resurfacing Peel
A non visible exfoliation suitable for sensitive, reactive, or compromised skin.

Pigment Correcting Peel
A multi acid peel designed to support the appearance of uneven skin tone, pigmentation, and early signs of ageing.

Brightening and Clarifying Peel
A peel focused on restoring radiance and supporting a more even looking complexion.

Every chemical peel begins with a comprehensive consultation to determine the most appropriate treatment and ensure results that are gradual, balanced, and supportive of long term skin health.

Please note: A consultation is required prior to all first time chemical peel treatments.

FAQ’s

  • PCA SKIN® chemical peels use carefully formulated acids and active ingredients to gently exfoliate the skin, stimulate cell turnover, and encourage healthy skin regeneration. Each peel targets specific skin concerns such as dullness, pigmentation, fine lines, or sensitivity. Depending on the formula chosen during your consultation, the peel may work on the surface layers of the skin or reach deeper levels for more intensive results.

  • PCA SKIN® peels are most commonly applied to the face but can also be used on the neck, chest, back, and hands—where signs of sun damage, ageing, or uneven tone may also appear.

Your cosmetic nurse will advise you on the best treatment areas during your consultation.

  • Results can vary depending on your skin type, concerns, and skincare routine. Most clients notice a visible improvement after just one treatment, with results continuing to develop over the following days and weeks.

With proper at-home care and sun protection, results can last several weeks to months. Maintenance treatments are recommended for long-term skin health and consistent results.

  • While you may see improvements after one peel, a series of 3–6 treatments spaced 4–6 weeks apart is typically recommended for optimal, longer-lasting results—especially when treating pigmentation, acne, or signs of ageing. Your personalised treatment plan will be discussed during your consultation.

  • To ensure your skin is in the best condition for a chemical peel:

    • Avoid using retinol, exfoliants, or active skincare products (like AHAs, BHAs, or vitamin C) for 5–7 days before your treatment.

    • Avoid waxing, laser treatments, or sun exposure in the area to be treated for at least 1 week prior.

    • Stay well hydrated and maintain a gentle skincare routine in the days leading up to your appointment.
You’ll receive tailored pre-care instructions during your consultation.

  • After your peel, you may experience mild redness, tightness, or flaking depending on the peel used and your skin’s response.
    To support healing and results:

    • Avoid direct sun exposure and always wear SPF.

    • Do not pick or peel flaking skin.

    • Use only the post-care products recommended by your practitioner.

    • Avoid active skincare, saunas, and intense workouts for 48–72 hours post-treatment.
We’ll provide you with a detailed aftercare plan specific to your peel to ensure a smooth recovery and beautiful results.
